Similarly, the RJ-45 gigabit loopback connects all four pairs to keep the signal in a loop.

Once plugged to the port, the network loopback plug will receive the signal and send it right back to the network equipment. This will measure both the transmission and reception and any differences between them.

It is a better option for you if you use multiple types of connection ports. Besides, they can also be divided into single-mode and multimode fiber loopback.
These loopback plugs can be bought in most electronic stores or on Amazon. In case of any network equipment that may require a different loopback for texting, you can build your own.
How To Build A Network Loopback Plug?
You can build a physical loopback plug in five simple steps. It is, however, not recommended if you have no prior experience with the network loopback plugs.
First, you will need a pair of Cat5 or Cat6 cables. They must be around 4 inches long. You will also need RJ-45 connectors and crimping tools.
Twist the cables very tightly. If the twists are not tight enough, the plu will not work. Use a tool for twisting to avoid hurting your fingers. Leave half an inch untwisted on both ends.
Once the cables are tightly twisted, fold them in half. The ends must line up; cut a little off the ends if you need.
Align the ends before inserting the cable into the RJ-45 end. For the ethernet loopback plug to work, you have to redirect the Pin 4 to Pin 8 and the Pin 5 to Pin 7.
Cover the wires by inserting plastic tubing over them and into the RJ-45 end. Crimp the ends with a crimping tool.
Once the network loopback adapter is complete, test if it is working properly on an ethernet port.
