How To Install Sophos Endpoint

The process of installing Sophos endpoint is as follows:

Step 1 

Open the Control Panel and go to “Programs”. In some versions, you can directly find it under the “System and Security” category.

Step 2 

Here you will get a list of all installed programs on your system. Scroll down to the Sophos Endpoint program, right-click on it and select “Install”.

Step 3 

The following window will display the license agreement for Endpoint security which you must read carefully if you wish to proceed with the installation. Click I Agree if you consent to the terms mentioned in the contract.

Note: If during installation, your computer restarts automatically, then that’s normal. Your computer may also restart automatically once the installation is complete.

Step 4 

Once installation starts, you will get a progress bar. You can find more information about Sophos Endpoint in the installer window. Read it thoroughly if you wish to know more about this software.

Note: The size of the installer is 114 MB, and it may take some time, depending upon your Internet connection speed, to download this file.

Step 5 

During installation, you might be asked to enter your email address and accept Sophos’ T&Cs for using their services, including three years of free essential support.

Step 6 

Installation is now complete! Click Finish from the top status bar or press Alt + F4 keys simultaneously on your keyboard.

Uninstalling Sophos Endpoint

The process of uninstalling Sophos endpoint using the uninstaller is as follows:

Step 1 

Open the Control Panel and go to “Programs”. In some versions, you can directly find it under the “System and Security” category.

Step 2 

Here you will get a list of all installed programs on your system. Scroll down to the Sophos Endpoint program, right-click on it and select “Uninstall”.

Note: If in case you are unable to find it in the list, you can also uninstall this program using its product key, which is Sophos Endpoint – 12345-12345-12345-12345

The product keys are specific to each computer system which means that if you install this software on another machine, you will have to enter a different code.

Step 3 

You may be asked for confirmation. Click Yes if you wish to proceed with the uninstallation.

Step 4  

Once you have confirmed, the following window will be about uninstalling all Sophos components. Click Yes if you wish to uninstall everything.

Step 5 

You can see that all other components apart from Endpoint Security are being uninstalled (The uninstallation process may take some time). Click OK when asked to restart your computer.

Uninstalling Sophos Endpoint With CMD

If you are unable to uninstall Sophos by using its product key, use this command instead. Command prompt is more reliable than control panel especially if you don’t know the exact location of your uninstaller.:
